What Does Your Business Do?

SAIC is a scientific, engineering, and technology applications company with approximately 44,000 employees worldwide.  SAIC engineers and scientists solve problems of vital importance to the nation and the world in national security, energy and the environment, critical infrastructure and health.  The company serves customers in the Department of Defense, the intelligence community, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, other U.S. government civil agencies and selected commercial markets.

SAIC serves all the military maritime services, and for commercial maritime markets, it develops technologies and engineering solutions and provides analytical systems.  SAIC also supports members of the sea services (U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Coast Guard) and their families by providing support for military health systems, counseling for military families abroad, and installing chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) protection capabilities at military installations.

The company provides its expertise to the Navy across all of its operational mission areas, ranging from submarines to jet aircraft.  Its expertise in C4ISR systems engineering and integration support the missions of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), NAVSEA and NAVAIR systems centers.
Currently, SAIC is one of the largest support contractors to SPAWAR San Diego, where the company has more than 5,500 employees.  SAIC provides direct support to SPAWAR, which has the following elements in San Diego: System Center San Diego, Program Execution Office, Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEO C4I) and Joint PEO Joint Tactical Radio System (JPEO JTRS).

How Are You (You And/Or Your Business) Involved With The Navy League?

SAIC is a Navy League Corporate Member and many SAIC employees are active in a variety of the League's activities.  SAIC works with the Navy League of San Diego as a Community Affiliate Member.  We maintain our membership with the Navy League because many of our employees are former military members from all branches of the armed forces, with a large presence being among those from the sea services.  There is a strong commitment from these former service members to support naval missions personally and to support the military community. For example, SAIC focuses many of its community contributions on assisting our armed forces and their families, promoting educational programs, math, science, engineering and business education and providing support to health research programs.  SAIC support to the Armed Services YMCA, Marine Corps Community Services, Fleet Week, the USO, the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, and especially the Wounded Warrior Foundation are related areas that directly link to the company's involvement with the Navy League.

What Is Your Favorite Navy League Activity?

Supporting the annual observance of the Marine Corps Birthday and supporting the luncheon that recognizes the contributions of Marine warriors, from the recruits at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot to those former Marines across the community who provided the legend of the Corps.

"It seems to me that all good Americans interested in the growth of their country and sensitive to its honor, should give hearty support to the policies which the Navy League is founded to further.  For the building and maintaining in proper shape of the American Navy, we must rely on nothing but the broad and farsighted patriotism of our people as a whole."     - Theodore Roosevelt
